Hi Geoff – if people have some scraps of fleece at home and want to make
scarves that would go over big also.  Joann’s also sells fabric “scraps”
very inexpensively or people may have scraps at home.  These scarves are
made by cutting long rectangles in the fleece and then cutting “fringe” on
the ends. They would be good “extra” items people could add to the donation
to FIA.



Here is a suggested dimension: 5” x 45” for an adult size and 4” x 35” for
kids.  But it can be any width or length that suits you.  You can also cut
the fringe as shown here or more narrowly.



These needy families will be thrilled to have something warm and cozy to
give to their children!

Good morning everyone,

As part of our upcoming Christmas party we will make fleece blankets to
donate.
You can buy the fleece blanket kits at Joann's and then the kids will put
them together at the party or you can buy two pieces of fleece probably no
bigger then 1 1/2 yards to create a custom blanket.

You can usually find a coupon online to use.

Also if you can bring a pair of scissors as we always seem to be short of
them and make sure they are labeled so they do not get misplaced.

This year we are going to donate the blankets to Faith in Action for needy
kids. Thanks to Sharron for setting this up for us.
