ya. I wish that rockband would kind of fill in some of the gaps music wise that gh has. but either way. the amount of dlc for rockband is staggering. _____ From: chou.clement@xxxxxxxxx [mailto:chou.clement@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, October 30, 2008 8:46 AM To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [brandon's list] Re: guitar hero world tour vs. rock band 2 Rock band really is more fluid. Up til GH 3, rock band and guitar hero would've been the same, guitarwise. But since Activision took the license, poor GH seems to have gone down the drain. But don't forget that the main factor is Harmonix is composed more or less of musicians and people who know music. Again I stress. If it weren't for the fact that Guitar hero world tour had hotel California, I wouldn't touch it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Liam Erven <mailto:liam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 10:21 PM Subject: [brandon's list] Re: guitar hero world tour vs. rock band 2 I've never played rock band but it seems more fluid. plus like you said. there are times in gh where notes just don't seem to make sense. _____ From: chou.clement@xxxxxxxxx [mailto:chou.clement@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 11:44 PM To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [brandon's list] guitar hero world tour vs. rock band 2 For all those who are interested, here are my opinions and hopefully Brandon will throw in his own two sense. Lag in gh is still there, moreso than in rock band. The drums are weirder with three drums and two extra symbols. And the worst thing is? The fact that setlists between the two games collide somewhat. About 12 of the songs that are in rock band 2 are also in Guitar hero world tour. And they play differently. Now, this might just be me but having to relearn one song for a different game can be quite tiresome. Especially when some of the notes make no sense. And it doesn't help guitar hero world tour has three songs by the same artist. Sure You can argue that this appeals to the fans, but the argument can also be made that for the ps3 and xbox360 versions, they could just release them as downloadable content, and allow the default list to have some other songs. That's just my opinion based off playing world tour once and hearing what other people have said about comparisons. again, I hope Brandon will contribute to this discussion.
