I mentioned this on the old Braillenote list, but I have to give it a spin on this one. Even though I do not have an Apex (I have an Mpower), my friend, who is a musician, has an Apex. She records little demo tracks on her Apex. When she records at 11025 HZ, there is no pitch distortion. But when she records at 22050 or 44100 HZ, the pitch gets slightly distorted. At 22050 or 44100, if she plays a C sharp, it comes out a few microtones below C sharp. Most people don't even notice it. It's not like she plays C sharp and it comes out C, she plays C sharp and it comes out a tiny tiny fraction of a tone below C sharp, but not C. Only GREAT musicians notice "in-between notes."
