Hello, Just one thing to add here. The brf is displayed in the grade that the braille display or notetaker (in this case apex) supports. Therefore, there is no need to go into bookshare, because even if the file is in grade 2, the apex will translate it into grade 1, if you choose it to. Or will it not? If not, you could translate it. Steps for both. Translating the whole apex from grade 2 to grade 1. Options menu, space o. Braille options, b. Find prefered reading grade, and choose grade 1. Enter, and exit. That's it, now, the brfs should be in grade 1. However, if not, try this. File manager, f. Translate file, t. Export file, e. Translate to file, which is the default, so leave it as that. Now, it will ask about file type. Because only your students will read it anyway, you might as well leave it at plane text. So, enter on that. After that, its just the usual drive, directory, and filename. Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: Devin Prater <d.prater@xxxxxx> To: "dmbrown59@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <dmbrown59@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thursday, 25 September 2014 11:04 am Subject: [BNU] Re: brf format > > > That will have to be done in the bookshare preferences.
