LCD stands for liquid crystal display. It is just one of several screen technologies available, and the Apex can hook to any of them so long as there is a VGA connection. VGA is the connector the Apex supports, so whatever is on the other end (CRT, LED, LCD, OLED, projector, whatever) will show what the Apex tells it to.
