Hi Marcia and all I have been a silent member of the list for a few months and I am also from the UK. My name is Dave and I use a 32 cell Braille Note Apex. I think your best bet for the keystrokes when using your Apex QT with your iPad mini is to email Tom at Humanware in the Uuk. When I first had my iPhone nearly a year ago he emailed the instructions to connect my Apex with the iPhone plus the keystrokes for using the iPhone through my braille keyboard on the Apex. In respect of the ble sign in UEB there is no replacement. You simply write these letters out. There are lots of changes in UEB from standard english braille but the ones you should be aware of as a learner now are listed here: the lower d within a word to represent a double d will no longer be in use. the sign o'clock will disappear so you will have to write o'clock. The lower signs for the words by, to and into will no longer be in use. By and to will simply have to be written out whilst into will be written lower i t o. As I say there are numerous changes but these probably the ones to note for now. All the best from Dave Sent from my iPhone > On 8 Feb 2014, at 20:55, Marcia Holder <marcia3@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hello All > > My name is Marcia and I live in the UK.
