[BNU] Curious about typing notification in KeyChat?

Hi all.
So I have notice that if you link your Facebook account with KeyChat, reset the
BN, then sign in and start a conversation, it shows you a full eight-dot cell
that flashes when the person is typing back.
Also, when someone you haven't sent a message to, or you have closed the window
and the person is replying, it shows up in the list of conversations before the
message is actually sent.
If you replace your info with GoogleTalk, reset your BN once again, sign in,
and start a conversation, none of these things happens.
Does anyone know why this is?
Does GoogleTalk not show a typing notification?
