Oh yeah I guess you are right. I did not think of that. Even if the site wants java scripting on, it often works better for the Apex if it is off. When it needs to be on, the user can turn it on and then turn it back off when they are done with that page or site. For example, on some sites, some buttons or links do not come up unless scripting is on. For those pages we can turn it on and for pages that work with it off we can leave it off.

That would not be a good idea. Think about it sendspace says
that it needs javascript. So it ternes it on itself. The site
will just not load or the apex would freez.

Yeah. I would like it if it would set the scripting off or on by
itself depending on if it neded it or not.

I never tried it. It was only recently that I started uploading
files there. It told me that I needed javascript, so I turned it
on. Then I downloaded the file and needed to change the setting
off. Weird.

Have you tried sendspace on lower ks versions? And if you did,
did it work with scripting on? Because it never worked with
scripting on for me on any ks version before.

Strange. In my experience, uploading, downloading, changing
account settings and even logging in all work best with scripting
off. What ks version do you have? I have 9.3, but have also
found
sendspace works best with scripting off in 9.1.1.

That's not how it works. You need different scripting settings
for different operations on sendspace. It's confusing, but
uploading a file using a different setting than downloading a
file.

Make sure you have scripting off. Less freezing happens with it
off. Sendspace will try telling you you need it on, but you
don't.

Thank you so much for your help, John and Jessica! I'm still not
having any luck with the Blind Mice Movie Vault, though. The
site freezes before I can uncheck the necessary box. Has anyone
else had this problem?

Thanks as always!

Lucy

Hello Lucy,
For the Amazon full site try this link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.html/ref=pd_luc_mri
I have also attached the URL file that you can just detach in
your favorites folder.
As far as downloading the movies from sendspace, uncheck the
checkbox for the sendspace accelerator.
On the next page there will be a link that says click here to
start your download.

Take care.
Sincerely,
John

Hi all,

I am currently having problems with two websites that used
to work well with the Apex.

First, I understand that to make purchases on Amazon with
the Apex, one needs to use the full version of the site. When I
try to click on the link to redirect to the full site, however,
my Apex acts as if the necessary link is not a link at all,
though it does appear to be one. The words "Full site" show up
as a link, that is, but clicking on them has no result.

Second, when I try to download movies from the Blind Mice
Movie Vault, I get a message saying something along the lines of,
"Your download will be ready in a moment." After that, nothing
happens.

I have tried both sites with scripting on and off, and if
others have had similar experiences and/or can offer suggestions,
I would be grateful for the input.

Thank you!

Lucy
