It seems to be a Keysoft problem, yes. I haven't used other displays, but I 
have used the Apex since ks9.0 and I only noticed the problems you are 
describing in 9.3 and later. To be fair, my iPhone will very occasionally 
freeze when I unlock it, with or without a display, but the connectivity 
problems you described happen to me as well. As I said, they really only 
emerged in 9.3 and 9.4.
