John,

I didn't use the plug-in to create this document. I pasted the text directly
into BB, formatted it and saved it as XML. Is there a problem with the XML
itself? Why would it be correct when I use the liblouisutdml.dll from 8/27?

Best regards from Ohio,

Vic

I am attaching a public-domain file from Bookshare for use in testing.
Vic's problems with missing words may be due to the Daisy plugin for MSWord.
The Bookshare file is of better quality. When I run it through liblouisutdml
with forrmatFor brf and nimas.cfg the resulting file has the correct line
length and no extra spaces before page numbers. It does not have the correct
number of line per page, but this is due to a problem elsewhere and would
appear with formatFor utd as well. It is due to difficulties in determining
the last line, because utd is graphical and so is brf, since it is derived
from utd. In any case, the correct number of lines can be obtained by using
formatFor textDevice. This is the default.

Please use the attached file for more testing.

If anyone wants to investigate the problem of the incorrect number of lines
per page look at the function checkPageStatus in the transcriber.c module.

Thanks,
John
