Brandon,

This is true with headings and such but if you set the style to something
like list or no spacing then it sticks.

I'm not sure if that is correct.

In word, if I select heading1 and begin typing when I hit return it returns
to the default paragraph style.

Congratulations guys! I couldn't break the latest ND by typing in text,
assigning styles, creating new elements or splitting elements. This is
looking very good.

I noticed that when you split an element the new element retains the style
of the original element. However, when you are at the end of an element and
press enter to create a new blank element, the para style is applied to the
new element. In my opinion, it would be more consistent with word processing
for the same style to be carried forward until the user manually changes it.
What I am saying is that if I have an element of the line style and press
enter to start a new element , the new element should have the line style
rather than the para style. I think this would be the expected behavior.
What does anyone else think about this?
