It probably would be good to have the toolbar customisable. Also we may want more than one toolbar (eg. most word processors have a toolbar for general actions, another for font/formatting, etc).
Some of the most frequently included items are; new, open, save and print. Of course we would also have things like emboss, translate and possibly things like toggling whether cursor movement is synchronised between the two views, etc.
