It will blow over and get back to normal in a few hours, or a day or so at most. It always does. I've been through this a few times already, and the pattern is very predictable.

I know that "me too" messages only add to the confusion, but

me too.

I have not been on the volunteer list for some time, but most of the messages ddon't seem to have anything to do with Bookshare, books being scanned, requests, or the site. I did like the list of bestsellers that Chela put up, though.

As is true with a lot of lists, a topic gets started that is on-topic. Scanning and versions of Windows was. Then, the topic of Windows versions with no reference to scanning took on a life of its own.

Then, cleaning keyboards was the one, though the subject line was sometimesdifferent.

One thing that I think happens is that even after everything has been said that needs to be, people still keep on discussing that topic.

I am not a moderator. Nor do I frown on a few off-topic messages, but this list has been swamped with them lately. I think that if 3/4 of the messages were on topic, that would be an excellent ratio.
