David,

The DAISY books follow the page boundaries if the book happened to have page
breaks. Not all books were submitted with page breaks, though. Bookshare
changed their policy about 2 years ago to require that they do, so all DAISY
bookssince that time should follow page boundaries. That still leaves about
21000 books which may or may not follow them.

Also, it's possible that even with the page boundaries there, the pages
might be numbered incorrectly. That will depend on whether or not the
volunteers who worked on the book cleaned up the headers or footers
properly.

HTH

Gerald

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] daisy book format

I have a question about the daisy book format? How are the page boundaries
determined. Do the daisy books follow the print book page numbers, or are
they different?

Thanks,

David
