U know, guys, if you read the description of the bookshare list, what you'll find is that it says that discussion ranges from books to where to find a good place to eat at L A X. Given that, pretty much anything goes. If u want it to be different, then the list description needs to be modified accordingly, & none of us posting on this has the authority to do that--that's the purview of staff. therefore, imo, this discussion is pretty irrelevant. Just FYI, I'm not thrilled about all the messages either, I only subscribed so I could deliver announcements about the writing group to the list, & I get the digest. But the description of the list is actually pretty clear, so if u wanna say a given post is "off topic" then the list description needs to be revised & clarified to say what is, in fact, "off topic".
