Hi list. I just joined this group. Since the Sunday before last, I have been
experiencing problems with Book Share books downloaded in Daisy Audio format.
When I try to play one of these books on my DTB player, the book begins playing
normally, but after a few minutes, it suddently stops playing and freezes up my
player, which keeps repeating “current position” over and over. I then have to
unplug my flash drive from the player and hold down its power buttin in order
to unfreeze it and restore it to normal. I have been experiencing this
behavior with every book I have downloaded since last week. For instance, on
Wednesday, I downloaded “below the Belt” by Stuart Wood from the New York Times
Bestsellers page in Daisy Audio format. When I plug my flash drive into my DTB
player, this book begins playing the copyright notice and table of contents
normally, but when it gets to the end of the table of contents, it abruptly
stops playing and freezes up my player. I have contacted Book Share support
about this problem, but they do not seem to have a solution at present. Has
anyone else had problems playing Book Share books downloaded in Daisy Audio
format within the last ten days on their DTB player? Thanks for any feedback.
