I do hat too and the only time I stop is to fix an error or rescan a page if it didn't get held down firmly.

You must turn pages and flip the book if you are doing single page scans, which is what I do. The scanner is fast. It scans a page in about 5 seconds, takes about 2 seconds to return ready for next scan. I find that while the scanner is returning to start position this gives me time to flip the book or turn the page. So there isn't a lot of lost time when doing the scans. I find that I can scan 350 page book in about an hour.

I bought it on Amazon for about $230 before tax and shipping. It was definitely an expensive purchase, but well worth it. It's pretty quick on the scans.
