Cindy,  least to say, there are other legal and logistical  considerations
other than public domain VS. copyrighted material.  I am deliberately being
vague when it comes this issue.

I'm under the impression--mistaken?--that google is
not able to make available books that are under
copyright--just older books.  Am I wrong?
