Thanks everyone for the info on wave files. Does anyone know of a free
program i could use to convert the files to mp3 so I could listen to them
on book port?

But back to the main point. I don't know what format the sony uses when it creates a wave file. I'm guessing they picked one that just won't work. I wish I could be more helpful.

Hi, The files that I'm trying to send were originally recorded on my Sony digital recorder, so I used the Sony software to convert them to wave. When I used the transfer program to send the files to the BP, the program appeared to close after i selected the files. Thanks, Megan
