Ok I'll admit I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed at times and I say
this cause I spent entirely to much money for a JBL speaker. It was
about $100 at Radioshack, but folks let me tell you its the finest
speaker I've ever heard. THey had some that started at $20 and they jsut
didn't sound so good and they weren't exactly compact enough for travel.
I did buy this not just for the BP, but also my Archos player. Ok hell
my wife told me to buy the thing so what can I say I can't deny the
wife.
It really is a nice speaker and its flat with a sliding cover with two
small speaker. The only thing I wish is you could have a bit more
separation, but you can't beat the quality of sound for the size and
runs on 4 AAA bateries and also does include a carrying bag, not much to
write home about, and an ac adaptor. Call me stupid, crazy, whatever,
but if your at RS check it out.
They had another set for $90 that was not quite as good in terms of
sound and wouldn't run on batteries, but it was kinda neat. The speakers
slid out from either end of the center piece.
The one thing I noticed with some of these speakers are the cones are nt
always protected in some modles which is't a huge concern perhaps, but I
like covered cones myself.
I can see a use for this setup with the BP, my Archos, and even my
laptop cause those speakers are never positioned to sound good.
