Dave-

Thanks for the info. One question - do you pay a monthly charge plus the
the songs you download, or just for the tunes you download>?

Hi Rick and list:

A legal service that provides files that can be readily transferred to the
book port is www.allofmp3.com

I'm afraid they use visual verification in their signup process and offer no
work around option. For that reason, you will need a modicum of sighted
assistance to do the joining process. Once that is done, you can dismiss any
need for vision being required. This service does not always have everything
I want, but I have been happy with the material I've bought through it, and
their prices are reasonable enough. The dearest thing I've bought was a live
concert of 22 tracks for $2.71.

You can search their catalogue without signing up, so feel free to check it
out and easily determine if they have what you want before joining.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Dave

Hello Betty:

It might be possible that your problem is not the bookport itself. But lets
see what others have to say. If you have limited space on your computer
hard drive, there might not be enough space left for the swapping that
happens when the transfer software compresses the daisy book for transfer to
the bookport if you are increasing the speed.

Subject: [bookport] some minor problems

Hello all. I have downloaded the latest firmware and software updates at
the prompting of the bookport transfer software. I have a books folder and
I transferred 6 daisy books without incident. I also put a few etext books
on and then read some daisy books and deleted them. Now, when I try to add
more daisy books, I get a prompt that says .mp3 disk is full. When I check
in My Computer in the properties, I have more than 2 gigs of space left on
my flash card. Is the only solution to reformat the card and retransfer?
Do I need to not delete files after I have read them?
