Well, I spoke too soon. If I navigate in bookPort Transfer to the folder/file I want to transfer, it works smoothly. If, on the other hand, I arrow to the file in Explorer, press the applications key, and choose 'send to BookPort', I get the following message:

[Window Title]
Book Port Transfer MFC Application

[Main Instruction]
Book Port Transfer MFC Application has stopped working

[Content]
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

[Close program]

I wonder whether BP transfer could be calling Duxbury somehow for translation, as I can't open a file directly with duxbury, although if I start Duxbury and then navigate to the folder/file, it opens just fine.

Hello Ann:

I tried to write you offlist, but couldn't see your email address. You wrote back in February, saying you are getting an MFC application error when transferring BRF books. If you are still having this problem and need assistance, please tell me the following:

1. In Book Port Transfer, alt a for about and please give me the version number your software is running.
Also, please provide titles you are transferring, so we may try one of them.

Rob suggested reinstalling Book Port Transfer.

The address for the latest would be:

www.aph.org/tech/bp_setup.exe

Please let me know.
