I am astounded by the number of card failures I hear about on this list. I have a number of cf cards, and not one of them has ever failed. I have one, for instance, that I purchased in 2001. It is a 64mb card (they were quite expensive back in the day) and it still functions. Hopefully, cards do have warranties. I wonder if the Bookport by nature is harder on cards than, say, a PDA or a digital camera? I doubt that this could be true, but we should all want to understand why so many people are reporting card failure. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Melissa Tucker Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2005 2:56 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: life of a CF card I got it from zip zoom fly.com Yes, I ran chkdsk and it's dead. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandy Licht" <slicht@xxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 10, 2005 3:53 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: life of a CF card > Depending on where you bought it, your card should have a lifetime > warranty on it.
