Hi,
If you have the beta of the transport software, plug the usb cable into the book port,
when the transport software comes up, hit alt+o to open the options, then from the general tab of the options dialog, hit alt+t to select your speech synthesizer of choice.
From here you can adjust the speech rate and volume of the synthesizer.
When you have it the way you want it, hit OK.
Then, press alt+e and your text file will be converted to an audio file using your synthesizer of choice.
I did a book with Neo Speech Kate and it sounds pretty good. Granted, it took about 2 and a half hours to do the conversion, but the file is about 5 hours and 45 minutes long.

In my humble opinion, this is a great new feature!

Well, there was talk here about converting books to audio. How is it
done? I don't see anything about it in the manual, and I at least want
to try it. Thanks. Kurt
