A case for the bookport should follow the form of the bookport, small but feature rich. There could be a belt loop on the back, and rings on the top corners for a detachable strap. We should have access to the keypad for listening on the go. Maybe a case where the bp slides in to the body of the case from the top. There is a frame of material and possibly some narrow bands across the front keeping the bp in. Then a loose flap should fold over from the top, attaching to the bottom and maybe the sides with velcro, leaving room at the top for the headphone jack. This way we could get in through a side to press a button. A zipper'd pocket could be built in to the front flap for cards and buds. Imagine the leather case for the BrailleNote and shrink it down BP sized. ____________________ Skype: rustyperez Yahoo and AIM: reliroo Check out my blog at http://rusty-perez.blogspot.com -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Scott Learned Sent: Wednesday, September 14, 2005 1:32 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] bookport case design suggestions? Hello, I am wondering what people would like to see in the design of a Book Port case. 1: would you want room for storage cards, if so, how many cards do you need to have with you at all times. 2: Would you like to have a pocket for earbuds or head phones? 3: Would you want the front left open or covered with a flap? If so, in which direction would you want it to fold back? 4: Would you just want to have a form-fitting case without pockets for accessories that protects the Book Port from damage,? 5: What means of carrying the Book Port would you most likely use. A shoulder strap, belt clip, or a hand strap? Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions, all input is very much appreciated. The edge surround and the underside pad could be in one moulding and removable to open the bbattery compartment. The problem would be to leave the belt clip available.
