Sharon,
All indications are that the new BP will use rechargeable battery packs.
This is in line with the planned smaller design of the case which will
preclude use of regular batteries. And is good reason to keep the current
BP. If the planned battery pack would have ability to be charged outside of
the BP, that would not be an issue. Then I could have an extra battery pack
and keep it charged while using the BP 2. If not, then it would not be a
good traveling companion as the current model is.
