Debbie,
I think this is a neat idea - Could be really cool as the braille
keyboard features are enhanced in the future!

Subject: [bookport] Feature suggestion--how about a clipping function?
Date: Mon, 6 Sep 2004 22:52:36 -0400

Hello,
After taking my Bookport on a trip with me over Labor Day weekend, I
thought of a feature that would be extremely useful. If you remember an
old DOS program called "Readit", you'll know exactly where I'm heading.
That program let you mark a block of text--a top and bottom line, and
then allowed you to save that block to a text file--either creating a
new one or appending to an existing one. So if you wanted to remember a
URL, phone number, file name, or what have you, it was a breeze. Now I
realize you can record a memo, but as the material is already in a form
that the Bookport can speak and is a lot smaller as a block of text,
this would be a lot handier. I don't find it easy to re-find these
snippets of info when I need them, especially in large newspaper or
email digest files. As far as the file interface, You could either use
a single default file like "clipboard.txt" , maybe in the "memo" folder
or allow Braille-mode input of a file name. What do the rest of you
think?
