Kathy:

The best way to create folders (the only way) is to do it from within
Book Port Transfer. Connect the BP, move to the Book Port folder with
alt plus f or tab, then go to the Context menu with Applications key or
Shift f10, select New folder and type the name you want to give it.
Then, you can open that folder in Transfer by pressing Enter on it and
send the file directly to it.

The Memoes folder will only be created if you record a memo. If there
are no memoes, there's no folder. The Notes folder is automatically
created by Book Port Transfer, even though there are no notes in there.

See the manual for more info.

What's the best way to create folders on the compact flash card? I
tried it
using either Windows Explorer or My Computer, I forget. I moved the
files
I had already transferred to the Book Port into the folders. Then Book
Port
said there were no files in the folders, and when it did find some of
my
Braille files, which had previously worked, I got a message saying the
file
couldn't be opened. I ended up re-formatting the compact flash card
and
re-transferring files. And for some reason, the Memos folder didn't
come
back.
