Hi everyone. Connection issues have come up recently on this list, and I've
sort of been following the topic, but this one is new from what I can tell.

A couple of days ago I attempted to synchronize my Pac Mate for the first time
since getting my Book Port. It wasn't working, so I went into the connection
settings of Active Sync and noticed that the option for allowing
synchronization via USB connection was disabled. I checked this option and
things seemed to be working well, at least for the Pac Mate.

Unfortunately, I connected my Book Port this morning to add some files and got
the message that Windows could not find the device. Neither running the BP
software manually or trying to open the card from within My Computer has made
any difference. I went into Device manager and deleted the unknown device and
tried reconnecting but got the same result. I went back into Active Sync and
unchecked the box for USB connection, and still there is no change. I'm using
the same cable for both the PM and the BP. Should this matter? Any other
Pm/BP users having any problems that could shed some light on a solution for
me? Thanks in advance for any help.

Caroline
