Compression has a profound effect on the size of the file; the more you =
compress, the smaller the file. =20

Unfortunately, there is no way to split an mp3 before sending it to the =
device. You might, however, be able to compress it enough for it to fit.

Sorry about my last message, I inadvertently sent it before I finished
writing.

I would like to know if the compression on the file has any effect on the
file size? Also, if I have a file which is too large for my cf card, can =
I
split it in some way (the file being an mp3)?

Thanks to all at Aph for such a superb product. I've had a bookport since
they were launched and the improvements have been incredible.

Best wishes

Donna Slater.
