Yep this happened to me on another list yesterday, the list for the infotech
magazine produced by T and T Consultancy. we were discussing how to -
well - let's just say - 'become members of the magazine's distribution
list', so it wouldn't surprise me if other messages from that list have gone
missing too. Seems like a bit of a daft option to me anyway, if we want to
send commands we'll send them to the command address, and if we accidentally
send commands to the list someone will soon tell us anyway. It's trying to
be too clever for its own good.

Hi Sharon, [And would the list owner please note]
It looks as though the list's parameters have been set up in such a way that they additionally check a specified number of lines of the message for commands.
You said, "I am just about to s....", and that last word (not spelled out) is a command.
I've slighly amended the wording below.
George.
Neil,
Is it possible to transfer part of a daisy file, e.g. a magazine or two off the compilation disk.
I am just about to sign up for the women's newsstand, and wondered if I could say transfer one magazine at a time.
Having not received one of these disks yet, I've no idea how they are made up etc.
Thanks.

HI Andrew, Dawn & Steve -
First, to confirm what Andrew first reported on this list - there is a problem in transferring, at least some, of the TNAUK Daisy compilations to the BC - note these compilations are intended for the Victor Daisy player and we have no reports of problems using them on this device.
My feeling is that it is a file size problem - I was sent a single compilation of the Economist (about 30MB) - that loaded onto the BC with no problem, but the News and Current Affairscompilation I tried (TNAUK number 603), which is over 700MB in size, results in the request noted by ANdrew to enter a non-existant additional disk.
I'll talk to Heathfield on Monday to see where we go on this.
Best,
Neil.

Hi,
Twice this morning I have tried to reply to e-mails on the BC list, and both times they have come back with some message from freeleists.
Is there a problem on the list.
