I still feel that the bc should be able to move around in the file as well with a mp3 copied through a card reader or from th ebc transfer tool It shouldn't need filters etc. for an mp3 file. -----Original Message----- From: bookcourier-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookcourier-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Caroline Ford Sent: Saturday, April 30, 2005 11:25 AM To: bookcourier@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookcourier] Re: How large or long can an MP3 file be? Diane, I've transferred MP3 files of around 60 mb to the BC with no problems. This equates to about an hour of listening time for the bit rate at which the files are encoded. The only problem you might encounter when playing really large MP3's on the BC is if you transfer using a card reader and want to skip backwards and forwards through the file, as you will skip over a large portion of material with each step. If you transfer using the transfer tool, this won't be a problem as you can skip backwards and forwards in 10-second intervals, no matter how large the file is. HTH, Caroline. -----Original Message----- From: bookcourier-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookcourier-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Diane Fazackarley Sent: 29 April 2005 22:02 To: bookcourier@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookcourier] How large or long can an MP3 file be? Hi all Can you tell me what is the biggest MP3 file the BC can play without causing it problems? I'm still on my transferring a book into MP3 and then onto the BC but I don't want to cause it problems. Would you say an hour would be OK?
