_Blind Justice_ by Anne Perry Arthur Ballinger got his revenge on his daughter's husband, Sir Oliver Rathbone, for not getting him acquitted of murder charges by leaving the lawyer photographs of members of the club he'd started. The club consisted of some of the most powerful and influential men throughout Great Britain taking their pleasure with boys provided them by Ballinger's people. Already Rathbone has used one of the photos to convince a witness to tell the truth in court; now that he's been appointed to the bench he offers a second photo to the prosecuting attorney to use in getting a witness's testimony recognized as unreliable. But someone has recognized that the photo that the prosecutor shows to the defense attorney and his witness must have been given to the prosecutor by Rathbone, and Oliver finds himself suddenly in prison himself and on trial for corrupting justice in Her Majesty's courts! Who has done this, and how can William and Hester Monk help Oliver get through his ordeal? And why did a minister who was caught defrauding his congregation apparently kill his wife and daughters before committing suicide? Or is there something more sinister going on? Got this in print from the Mystery Guild, started reading it last night, and couldn't put it down till I finished it this morning just before the alarm rang. Definitely one of Perry's best books in the Monk series! Available through Audible, I believe. Bonnie L. Sherrell Teacher at Large "Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment.
