Thanks Bob! I hate to have these photos just sit in a box – I’d like to share
them with Bobsy Talk also – I’ll look into having them put on a CD.

Subject: A Bobsy Talk Email: How to Contact David Hale
Michael,
Nice offer. David is a subscriber to Bobsy_Talk so he may well see your post
and respond if he wishes. However, in case he doesn't regularly see the
Bobsy_talk emails, I'll also forward you request to him directly, thus
maintaining my agreement to not share any email addresses I've accumulated.
Cheers,
Bob

Does anyone know how I can email David Hale? I have some photos of Steve’s
SR3 with the Porsche 2L 4 cam & the 2L flat six that he might be interested in.

Subject: A Bobsy Talk Email: New stuff
Bobsy fans:
It's been kina' quite here on Bobsy Talk for a while so I thought I'd drop
everyone this note:
First a new article has been posted on the History Page. Quoting the added
paragraph and its link to the article;
"This July 1964 issue of Sports Car Graphic has a great in-depth period
titled "Technical Report - BOBSY Mk. I. An American-built winner with a very
bright future!" The article confirms much of the history of the initial Bobsy
cars (i.e. the Heir brothers' cars) and Jerry getting into volume production of
the Mk. II cars. Sorry for the poor quality of the PDF file. I was working
from a copy of a copy of the original article. (I'd be beholding to anyone
with a better copy to scan."
The article came to me via Duck Waddle, the grand old man of Bobsy racing.
While not racing any more, his interest in Bobsy sports racers continues and he
was kind enough to send me copies of two Bobsy articles he ran across. The
above referenced article was new to me and deserved to be added to the History
page.
Second piece of news. One of the Bobsy cars recently changed hands. Please
welcome Jeffrey Newman (Oregon) as the proud new owner of the beautiful Hugh
Tompkins' SR-2. I'm sure Jeffrey will be sending a fresh picture with him,
rather than Hugh, posing with his new acquisition. (That's a hint, Jeffrey).
Hope everyone is well and preparing for the 2017 race season. Which reminds
me. Did you know that of the 50 cars we really know the whereabouts of, 26 are
still being raced? Not too shabby.
Cheers,
Bob Alder
P.S. If you are aware of any other cars which have changed hands recently,
PLEASE let me know. Thanks.
