Hettie, in the NVDA menu, go into preferences, speech dictionaries, and
hit enter on global dictionary.
There, tab to add button, and hit space bar.
In the pattern field paste the following:
(\d)(?=\d)
in the replacement field, put the following, including the trailing
space character:
\1
In the comment field, I have the following - just because:
speak numbers as digits
Then tab over to type grouping radio buttons, and make sure regular
expression is selected, then tab over to ok button, and hit space bar to
save the entry, and then tab over to the close button in the dictionary
dialogue, and do the same, and it should now read all numbers out as
single digits.
