Ah, thanx, Jacob, I am pondering on this lot now, while my computer is downloading in the background. Hopefully, Nokia PC Suite 7.09 might work on the C5? 6.8 works fine on the 6210, but not on c5, so I'll try out 7.09 on the c5... Deon [G. With regards to iBurst, and it's inaccessible connect button, after the first time it's been clicked on by someone, you should be able to find a form of virtually rendered network connection under 'my network', which you can make appear on desktop, and this then lets you sort of initiate the connection process - or did while I was still using iBurst a little while ago. Aside from that, my one form of internet connection backup is using my nokia N82, or 6680 with the sort of accessible version of nokia PC suite, which you can find on the blindSea mobile corner third edition software page, marked as such - Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.9.2: http://www.blindsea.com/3software Effectively, that one lets you connect to the 'net using the file menu, instead of some stupid unlabeled button. I generally though use an ADSL connection, where the ADSL router, which is hooked up to the telephone line is connected directly to my primary PC using a normal network cable, and that was quite easy/simple to configure, and this specific ADSL router is actually also a wireless networking gateway/router, so 2 other computers here also use the 'net via simple wireless network adapters that are quite funny since the USB port part is bigger than the actual wireless network adapter part of them, but anyway. Lastly, if using jaws 13, on that iBurst app, if you try jaws key + space bar, then hit the letter O, and then the letter W, it should try carry out optical character recognition on the currently focused window, and then switch over to jaws cursor, and read scanned parts of the screenshot in one of the SAPI voices, but that might let you navigate to, and click on something like that connect button yourself. I do have the OCR applet for NVDA also installed on the portable version of NVDA that run on my primary machine, but, haven't really tested it too much as of yet, but, effectively, it seems like once it's installed, insert + R performs OCR on the currently active window, and then insert + numpad 3 key seems to route NVDA to the reading window, etc. etc., or something, but anyway. UID09duf63i2bd Hi, People Today I wish to bother you guys with something that may just open a can of worms, as so many people don't seem to be active on the Internet? My question to you is; How do you get on the Internet, what method do you use, fixed line, Telkom, 3G, a cell phone, a data memory stick, blackberry, Iphone, laptop, computer, tablet, paraffin stove? And how much does this cost you? How easy/difficult is it for you to get connected every time? I know I have this interesting thing that looks like a memory stick; it has a SIM card inside, but to get connected to this thing takes some time, as as soon as you plug this thing into a computer, a picture comes up, with another kind of picture that Jaws doesn't tell you about, while it takes some doing to find this "Connect" button by moving the mouse, when using NVDA. This thing is really foolproof, as it fools me... So, here's another gadget lying around somewhere in my house without any use. And I still haven't figured out what the OCR in j13 and NVDA 2012.2 actually is supposed to be for; once again, it doesn't turn me on? Am I , perhaps, becoming too old to be turned on by gadgets?? And then I've had this Nokia 6210 Navigator which I have been using for over 3 years now; I simply plug it into my laptop, ENTER on a "Connect" link which I created myself on my laptop, and as soon as I hear it has connected, I can then go hit my own "Internet" link. This has been serving me very well over the last 3 years, but since then I have had to "upgrade" to a c5, which now uses Nokia OVI Suite, instead of the old trusted Nokia PC Suite. This OVI thing sips my airtime faster than I can sip any beer, for some reason, so I'm scared out of my wits of it. With the old, I could be on the Net for hours, and if I don't download or upload, it only took me 1 or 2 MB's. Then new one makes 100 MB disappear like nothing else. My problem now is; if something would happen to this old 6210, what am I going to do? Do any of you have a Plan B for me? Is there a 3G stick which you can actually connect yourself if you're blind? Is there a "Speaking phone" left which can actually still be used as modem, without costing me an arm and a leg? Or, maybe, my next laptop could have a SIM slot under its battery, and its user interface is actually accessable? If you know about such a laptop, pleas let me know; bearing in mind that I tend to be a bit slow in understanding things, these days...? If there's anything left these days which is actually blind-user-friendly, do let me know, will you????! Deon [G.
