Hi Petro,

Do you know if this new accessibility for the plugin is accidental or did
its developer take specific steps? Is this increased accessibility
improvement documented by either party anywhere?

Thanks.

Subject: [blindreplay] The new YouSendIt plugin

I am using Replay AV 8.42 and the new YouSendIt Express plugin. You no
longer need the JAWS scripts with this new plugin.

I use this plugin to automatically send recordings to me and to the Ask
Computer Jim show and a blind DJ to record their shows. After a recording is
finished the plugin kicks in and automatically sends the file to the email
recipients you have designated via "Properties" dialog box and in the output
tab.

If you do not understand just ask on this list.

The new YouSendIt Express plugin works very well with JAWS 9 and is ok with
Window-Eyes 6.1 screen readers.

The developer has done a very good job in my opinion im improving this
plugin. Before you needed scripts to get it to work for you. For example the
sign in process within the plugin. Before you had to use your JAWS cursor on
the plugin interface. No longer with JAWS 9.

I have notes for both JAWS and Window-Eyes users if you want them just ask.

Window-Eyes 6.1 reads the YouSendIt plugin quite a bit differently than JAWS
9. Maybe a set file can be done or one can use a set file to improve the
interface. I don't know much about doing this yet.

You can use the plugin by going to the Replay AV 8 tools menu and choosing
open YouSendIt option.

The screen works better with JAWS than it does for Window-Eyes 6.1 unless I
am doing something wrong let us know. Set file?

You can now right click on a file on your hard drive and choose the
YouSendIT item in the context menu list to send a file manually.

Again JAWS 9 does a better job here. The developer is using the "alt="
attribute for the send by yousendit link but Window-Eyes only shows the long
html code for this link while JAWS reads it as "send by yousendit" link.
Again I have the notes to help all of you.

Of course you do not have to use this plugin to send files manually. You can
use the other methods or other web services. It is up to you but this plugin
is a big time improvement in my opinion. Thank you YSI and developer very
much for taking the time to improve the interface. Signing in is no issue no
more and the plugin automatically sends recordings off with no issues. Also
it can be used to manually send files off your hard drive as explained
already.

A big thank you to Applian Technologies too. They always try to improve
their products for accessibility for you and me.
