The Quick Record is still there. There maybe others ways to do
it but I find this the easiest to me.

For Bill who couldn't get his Real Player streams converted to
.mp3 or to Susan who wants to record "archives - on demand"
audio the Quick Record will work as it captures the sound from
your card.

Start RAV 8.
Go to minimize button and spacebar.
RAV 8 is now in your task bar tray.
Do a windows+m command now.
Start your media player program like WMP or RP or find the audio
file you have on your hard drive.
Minimize the media player or the folder where your audio file
is.
You now have RAV 8 and your media player running in task bar
area.
Get RAV 8 back in focus.
 Do a ALT+R.
Choose "audio output - Quick Record from the menu. I don't
remember the exact name.
You get a edit dialog box.
Add name in the name edit box.
Choose MP3 recording format you want. There's like 5 choices.
In the Record for area you have 2 edit boxes. The first edit box
is for the hours and the 2nd edit box is for the minutes. Note:
JAWS doe not read this right so be careful here. It's hours
first and minutes for the 2nd edit box.
You are telling Quick Record how long to record.
In one of the tabs I forget - Recording or Schedule make sure
"what you hear" or waveout or mixer is selected so RAV 8 will
record your sound card.

Choose OK button in dialog box when finished with the settings.

RAV 8 starts recording.

Minimize RAV 8 via its minimize button with spacebar.

Start Real Player and start the radio stream you want RAV 8 to
record for you in mp3 format.

Or go to your hard drive and find the audio file you want. Press
enter on the audio file and RAV 8 will record it for you with
Quick Record. Say its a RP audio file you have. RAV 8 is
recording it for you into .mp3 format.

Again there are many ways to do this. Each pc user is different.

I tested this and it does work.

I hope this was explained ok.
