Hi to Petro and the list,

Also include WSB of Atlanta in that observation ... at
least for now.

I wonder whether this particular Clear Channel
miserable quality is the result of the corporation's
nasty policy, or whether it results from attrocious
programming techniques on the part of the particular
webmaster's implementation.

I do remember that Jonathan Mosen put a Replay A/V 7
tutorial on a web page, in which he warned that all
this marvelous technology related to the URL Finder
might ultimately result in a backlash on the part of
some stations. He seemed to state that their
fear/concern regarding copy protection
issues might lead to some of these stations setting up
road-blocks to easily or conveniently copying
radio broadcasts delivered via the net. So he
casually advised us to--and I believe this is his
direct quote--"grab the technology while it's hot."

I generally hate conspiracy theories, but I can think
of at least a couple of individual broadcasters (who
will go unnamed here) that might truly detest the idea
of having their broadcasts recorded by an individual.
This would be particularly despicable, given that the
unparalleled
freedom and individual rights enjoyed by everyone
fortunate enough to be living in this country
would be put at great risk by the technological
implementation of such blocking.
