Check her pop and smtp settings. Norton sometimes changes them for its
email protection. Also check Norton email settings to make sure they are
correct. Another thought is a firewall like windows firewall.

My wife is using Eudora 6 in sponsored mode. When she tries to receive mail, the download icon appears, but the messages fail to down load. After many minutes, she gets the message something like "rejected by foreign host." When she updated her Norton antivirus several days ago, she was instructed to delete temporary files. She did not delete those that triggered the warning that a particular file was a system file, however. What might be the problem?
