============================================================= Here is the
list of fixes that the new beta repairs. I have included only the
differencesbetween 6.2.0.8 and 6.2.0.10. Dennis EUDORA FOR WINDOWS, VERSION
6.2.0.10 BETA -- RELEASE NOTES
============================================================= This document
describes the changes in the software since Eudora 6.0. Separate sections
have been given to changes from each release since then. NOTE: Several
timeswe refer to <x-eudora-option:...[1] >to modify a setting. Copy the
whole text including the <>'s and paste it into a new Eudora message. By
pressing and holding down the <alt> key, you can click on a URL in a new
message (a hand will display over the URL which means it can be used).
---------------------------------------------- CHANGES FROM 6.2.0.8 Beta TO
6.2.0.10 Beta ---------------------------------------------- IMAP ---- Fixed
crash when manually filtering an IMAP message from a message window (as
opposed to a TOC window). Fixed case where IMAP Trash or Junk mailboxes
wouldnot be acknowledged. Eudora will no longer automatically expunge IMAP
messages if fancy trash mode is off. + Fixed case where IMAP accounts with a
prefix wouldn't acknowledge the Trash mailbox. Fixed problem where deleted
orjunked IMAP messages were not being deleted from the mailbox when using
Fancy Trash. Fixed problem where Eudora would sometimes attempt to junk
deleted IMAP messages. Fixed problem where junked IMAP messages were being
given a score of 0 instead of the specified manual junk score. EMOTICONS
--------- + Emoticon menu drawing now correctly handles transparency (i.e.
the emoticon images no longer have gray rectangle around them in the menu).
+The icon for the emoticon toolbar button is now better centered and draws
correctly when disabled. + Fixed the vertical alignment of emoticon images
with the surrounding text when displayed with "Use Microsoft's viewer"
turnedon + Removed :/ (variation of "undecided" emoticon with no nose)
because it was found to interfere with URLs (http://[2]) + Fixed case where
replying to a selection that contains an emoticon while using the Microsoft
viewer resulted in a broken embedded emoticon image + Fixed bug where
inserting an embedded image or emoticons did not adjust the line height
correctly which resulted in the image being drawn partially cut off JUNK
HANDLING ------------- Fixed bug that caused junk messages not in the Inbox
to be moved to the Junk mailbox when recalculating junk scores.
MISCELLANEOUSBUG FIXES/IMPROVEMENTS ------------------------------------
Eudora no longer sends an X-Sender header. Fixed one more case where
attachments could be spoofed via base64 or quoted-printable encoded MIME
parts. Fixed memory leak in both filtering and searching based on regular
expressions. + Fixed a couple cases where ScamWatch complained
inappropriately or didn't complain when it should have Eudora now displays
calendar attachments rather than incorrectly deleting them (POP) or
displaying in the body of the message (IMAP). Fixed bug where Eudora ignored
the last header listed in <x-Eudora-option:TabooHeaders[3]> when using the
Eudora internal viewer. Fixed bug where printing from Directory Services
window only printed headers and footers. Fixed bug where Eudora would not
finish receiving certain messages with non-standard MIME headers. Fixed
crashthat occurred after cancelling the search window while searching the
address book. + Fixed bug where ScamWatch could incorrectly warn about
innocent links if the link text contained a colon.
