Yes, i believe if one starts with "standard" which allows imap, the choices are greater.
I'm glad you jfw works well.
I started with html which allows only pop (as your standard allows only imap) It is far less likely to switch into html mode and give you troubles as it is their preferred view.
but we are committed to whichever download protacall we started, and it is unfortunately not bi-lingual : ).
I'm glad you can move around both. You'll see on the site that they claim it is not supported. I think I assumed, that as I didn't find the standard to be as managible that it must be true.
They clearly like nvda and firefox.
this is odd as our local news station gave a report this year saying that ie and chrome were the most secure, and chrome was so due to a certain feature (I forget the feature name) and without that, it would be closer but not third safest.
BTW what improvements have you noticed in j11?

Hi,
I’m set to IMAP as a constant and I can switch effortless between either view
on the web site so I question whether this must remain so.
I’m able to do it just fine under IMAP with IE 11 and JFW 16 or 17 at the
present.

Yes, I had a wonderful weekend of battling.

As others seem to indicate, the Gmail view can change, reverting to standard
view (in which the gmail expectation is that it is a imap handshake).

So until one gets it back to the html view it is expecting pop download. Since
gmail thinks that standard is more desirable, it is difficult to get html view
to stick 100% of the time.

Standard mode is claimed to be wonderful (says gmail) if NVDA is used. But that
is their supported speech and Firefox is their supported browser in standard
mode. So if you like imap, as I do, viewing the website is a growling test of
futility. But if one doesn’t trust gmail or very few, the html view is quite
accessible by jfw. But then one must use pop.

I’ve got it now Thanks

Sorry i am so late in commenting in this thread. I'm not sure if anyone else
actually suggested this but you should be able to use Outlook as your email
program for Gmail. When I do use Gmail I always do it with my email program,
rather than engaging in an epic battle with the Web interface.

Hi folks,

I was wondering if there are problems, and if it’s easy work-around setting
gmail up with jfw16.0.4463, and ie 11.

If it is tough, is there a better reliable mail provider?

Does gmail have trouble subscribing to lists. That is my main objective, as I
want to subscribe to several lists and do not want but the top two or three
coming into this @thenewvisionstore.com email account.

The only trouble I’ve seen gmail giving folks is that gmail seems to have
difficulty with very long emails.

Also, that one must manually go to the top to reply on top.

I think I can learn in time to do that.

So what can you folks dump here for me to sort out?
