Congratulations and best of luck. I just updated my desktop last week. I've had
Win 10 on the laptop, but wasn't using it nearly as much. So now that I'm using
it constantly, I'm liking it overall, but still dealing with some quirkiness.

Subject: [blind-philly-comp] Very Quick Update

This will be brief but this is just to let all of you know that the
computer is up and running on a basic level.
The tech at the local shop offered to ensure that Narrator was up and
running. I thanked him and told him I'd be installing a third-party
screen reader and he then offered to install it for me, which I thought
was quite nice so NVDA was already up and running when I connected the PC.
Kaspersky 2016 is installed/I needed the help of the Microsoft help desk
as the installer is totally inaccessible. After a minor glitch the rep
was able to install it. The program is currently not activated but I
should be able to locate my license.
Firefox and Thunderbird are now installed. My primary user account is
set up, along with an administrator account for installs and major
system changes.
Things are slowly coming back online. I have a lot to do and a great
deal to learn about Windows 10 but it is now up and running.
