I am using the regular site. Incidentally someone just posed the exact same
question on a Jaws list.

I get two different sign in's.
The
Name
Pw
Sign in

Format will always get me in.

But the

Name
Pw
Keep me log'd in
Details
Log in button

Is the one that is likely to tell me that it doesn't know me.

Of course I'd expect jfw to remember new pw if I had written something that was
unusual, as I have that turned on.

Lately on amazon when I see the
Link information about items in your cart

I hit it and nothing happens

I liked in I e 10 that it would just show a list Now I have to read a pop up,
(it must be) as alt left arrow takes me out of cart completely.

But accessible is cumbersome for me. I'm in the in between.

Yes that is helpful, thanks. I have also found today that for some people the
sign in button seems to have changed quite a bit for the checkout process. I
knew it had for me but apparently it has been coded quite differently by
amazon. I only need to do one or two more tests before submitting something to
amazon Accessibility and/or Freedom Scientific. Someone on another list didn't
think I needed sixteen GB of ram. Laughs! Try testing all this stuff with six.

Okay, I use it at least 2 times a week I'm win7 64, jfw 17 and ie 11.
Can I possibly be of any help?
I have found tha tlately there are not buttons in some places, one just presses
enter on a group of words that do not say link either.

Here's one, when I get an amazon "rate our packaging" in my email, I can click
on that link but it doesn't work as far as recognizing me. It sees me as "bill"
but won't accept my "field stripped, and typed" pw.
For about 2 days I could not gain access to my lists, but purchases went
through fine throughout.
Now the lists and past purchases thing is fine.
but the emails recognizing me is still whacked. Their loss, mostly.

Oh thanks for reminding me I need to talk to someone about a button on the
checkout page at Amazon. I can't ascertain if this one button is a Jaws issue
or a poorly coded button. I keep forgetting to compare notes with some others
about that. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes, parts of the amazon website are not accessable.
Parts of the paypal are not fully accessible with jfw 17, ie 11.
Seems like classic site does not support the way it used to, sometimes when you
click "classic site" there seems no change to the paypal site at all.

I received an e-mail from amazon and the seemed like they were just delaying
me. They told me to do everything I had tried, and wrote to them that I tried,
and wouldn't acknowledge that I had written that to them first.
I think it was changing a card on file.

For the longest time, Penn DOT and Pennsylvania Dept. of Welfare were not
accessible to the blind.

Look how long it has taken Target... and the Wallmart website seems to be
getting worse after a short time of being good.

It makes me feel like a conceptual lepper. That even thinking about us will
make someone's skin break out.

Oh dear, yet another business has been forced to take money from the
handicapped sector, laughs! Now the legal briefs will be filed in private
asking for extensions beyond 2017 which is what Amazon continuously does with
their products. Businesses seem to have the mistaken impression that by
catering to the handicapped or disabled population, they will somehow lose
money by incurring extra expenses. They completely overlook the fact that by
servicing the blind and low vision community they will also be servicing a
growing community of people who are growing older and whose eyes are growing
older along with them. So far Apple is the only company that seems to have
received the memo and lately even some of their store services have been a
little inaccessible with screen readers.

National Federation of the Blind and Scribd Agree to Collaborate to Make
Reading Subscription Service Accessible to the Blind

Baltimore, Maryland (November 19, 2015): The National Federation of the Blind
and Scribd, Inc. have agreed to work together to provide access and make
content available in Scribd’s subscription reading service and website
accessible to the blind by the end of 2017. Available on desktop and mobile
devices, Scribd’s service provides users access to ebooks, audiobooks and other
published content for a flat monthly fee. As part of an agreement between the
two organizations, Scribd will rearchitect its website to make most
subscription content compatible with screen access software for the blind.
Screen access software converts text-based content into Braille or spoken
words. Scribd will also facilitate access to other types of documents in its
collection when requested by blind users.

Mark A. Riccobono, President of the National Federation of the Blind,
said: “Lack of access to the printed word has traditionally been one of the
most significant barriers faced by the blind, but electronic books and
documents, when they are designed to be accessible to us, can provide access to
more information than we have ever had in all of human history, leading to
better education and employment outcomes, and helping us to live the lives we
want. We are thrilled that blind readers will soon have access to Scribd’s vast
digital library, and we commend Scribd for agreeing to work with us to make
this happen. My wife Melissa, my daughters Oriana and Elizabeth, and I are
blind, and we, along with my son Austin, eagerly look forward to delving into
this new treasure trove of literature and information as a family.”

Trip Adler, CEO of Scribd said: “We are committed to building the library of
the future and making it accessible to all. Our collaboration with the National
Federation of the Blind is an important step in making this a reality, and we
look forward to ensuring our technology is usable for the blind community.”

The agreement resolves litigation filed last year by the National Federation of
the Blind and Heidi Viens, a blind mother from Colchester, Vermont. There is no
admission of liability or wrongdoing by any party to the agreement. The
plaintiffs were represented by Laurence Paradis, Haben Girma, and Rebecca
Rodgers of the firm Disability Rights Advocates; Daniel F. Goldstein and
Gregory P. Care of the Baltimore firm Brown, Goldstein and Levy, LLP; and Emily
J. Joselson and Michele B.
Patton of the Middlebury, Vermont firm Langrock, Sperry & Wool, LLP.

About the National Federation of the Blind

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between
blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not
what holds you back.
