I don't think that the label, socialist, is an issue, or will be an issue.
There are a bunch of articles in today's Common Dreams about all of the
fighting within the Democratic party. The Clinton supporters are going to
give her the nomination, come hell or high water, and they're fighting
Bernie's attempts to democratize the party. In the meantime, some of
Bernie's supporters, particularly those who believe they have been treated
unfairly like by the Nevada Democratic Party, are infuriated and rebellious.
It's a fight for control of the party and it's really ugly and the Clinton
supporters aren't really thinking about Trump, at least I don't believe they
are.

You may have said this before, but if the polls show Sanders beating Trump
while Trump would beat Clinton, then it seems to me, for the good of the
party, one could easily argue that super delegates ought to go for Bernie.
Heck, Clinton could get indicted which would be a disaster if it happens
after the democratic convention.
But, I'm afraid that the tag "socialist would do Bernie in when push comes
to shove. Now, folks like the idea of Bernie because he is more honest and
much less of an insider than Clinton. But, as the weather gets colder, Trump
could then show us his best McCarthy, fear could win out and then we can
hand the nuclear football to the Trumpster! Ugh!
