Hi Miriam,
This piece asks an important and disturbing question.
Given the many lies spewed by our government over many decades, I'd say that
rigging of elections is both possible and plausible. Could it be that many
who live comfortably such as journalists are so beholden to the powers that
be that they can't face that possibility? Could it be that maybe they fear
the results of exposing said rigging?
Or, could it be that many on the left have become so cynical that they just
don't care anymore about true democracy and justice?
No doubt that if we are to ever have a real honest to goodness democracy, we
need a citizenry that is far more vigilant than most of our citizens in the
year 2016.
