Peace Works of KCMO had another demonstration against drone warfare yesterday
at Whiteman Air Force base, one of the main launching facilities for the drones
in the United States.about 60 miles from Kansas City. There was about forty
people in attendance.
It was a fantastic day. They were saying we could have thunderstorms all
day. This didn’t happen. We were able to fly our kites.
In addition to it not raining, we didn’t have the motorcycles buzzing around
the base. We didn’t have anyone crossing the line this time. We had two
people who had gone to Creech for the demonstration. One of them had been
arrested. They gave some very inspiring thoughts for us to bring back.
It was really a wonderful day. I’m so sorry we must keep doing this. There
are so many innocent people who are being killed by these terrible practices.
