The final June 5, 2003 update is available for all classic notetakers
from freedomscientific.com. Once there, go to downloads, notetaker
update windisk and Nemeth tutorial. Towards the bottom of that page
are the links to download the last firmware update for the
notetakers. Note that only the English version of the final firmware
is available. They were still charging a hefty price for other
languages to update to the final revision when I checked 10 years ago
or so. If I recall right, Ron Miller quoted $175 for the Polish
upgrade back then. I don't know if there is somewhere where the
version prior to June 5, 2003 can be gotten from.

Bug fixes as far as I know. The page I gave above claims that this
version will make your unit compatible with a new version of windisk,
but that new version of windisk never came out as far as I know. As
for stability between versions, I can't comment; it was so long ago.

They could if they chose to, but something tells me that if they
haven't chosen to do so for the last 11 years, they aren't going to
now. I personally think they kept things going for as long as the
contract with Dean Blazie required them to, and they dropped the
Blazie products like a hot potato as soon as the requirements imposed
on them by that contract ended. Something should be done about it, but
probably nothing will unless they're sued, maybe not even then.
