I know the Silmarillion is in the validation queue because I rescanned it.
The others may be there also. When Lissi sees this post she will let you
know what is going on. Lissi and a couple others are working on a longer
term project to get more of Tolkien's works in the collection.

Dear Fellow Volunteers,
My name is Kelby, and I've recently becoce a Bookshare volunteer.
I don't know if this was necessary a wise decision on my part, as
I don't have a scanner and scanning software, and can't afford
them at this time. I can, however, attempt to proofread and
validate books if that is needed. In fact, I have just attempted
to do so, but ran into a problem when trying to upload the
approved book. It said that my RTF file was not a valid RTF
file, which I can assure you is not the case. What might I do
about this?
Secondly, I would like to request that a few books desperately
need to be re-scanned. The most important of these works are the
collected stories of JddRR. Tolkie. This includes the Lord of
the Rings, Silmarillion, and Unfinished Tales. Books I would
also love to see added to the collection are the rest of the
voluces in the History of Middle Earth series. I have other
ideas, but I believe Tolkien's work needs to be scanned again,
hopefully making far more readable copies. Hope to hear from you
all soon.
