Ok I'll write these out how I hear them using Jaws 4.02.  Keep in mind that 
different screen readers, not to mention different versions of the same screen 
reader, read things differently.  I have mine to only say some punctuation...

>for you. My grandfather's got real senility, okay?
>Last week he said to me, 'Vivian put the popcorn

I hear that as: dot dot dot so I'm not terribly concerned for you my 
grandfather's got real senility, okay? Last week he said to me, apostrophe 
Vivian put the Popcorn outside. apostrophe dot dot dot.

This one I hear exactly the same.
